0.2 mm Dual Row FFC/FPC Test Fixture

Hirose 0.2 MM test fixture

Ultra-Fine Pitch FFC/FPC Testing

Reliable access to ultra-fine 0.2 mm pitch dual-row FFC/FPC contacts for development, test, and production applications.

FlexibleTest offers a 0.2 mm pitch dual-row FFC/FPC test fixture
designed for reliable electrical access to ultra-fine pitch flex cable interfaces.

The fixture is designed around a 70-position, 0.2 mm pitch dual-row contact configuration
and can be used with flex cables designed to mate with connector interfaces such as
FH20DJ-70-0.2SHW.

The fixture provides repeatable electrical contact to the exposed FFC/FPC conductors
without requiring the production connector during testing.

This approach is well suited for engineering development, functional testing,
troubleshooting, validation, and production test environments where frequent access
to the FFC/FPC interface is required.

Designed for 0.2mm Pitch Applications

At 0.2 mm pitch, conductor spacing is extremely small, making alignment and contact
geometry critical to achieving a reliable electrical interface.

The FlexibleTest dual-row fixture is designed to accurately position the FFC/FPC
while maintaining consistent contact across the closely spaced conductors.

  • 0.2 mm conductor pitch
  • 70-position dual-row contact configuration
  • Repeatable FFC/FPC positioning and clamping
  • Designed for ultra-fine pitch flex cable interfaces
  • Suitable for engineering and production test environments

Elastomeric Contact Interface

The fixture utilizes Z-Axis elastomeric contact technology to create the electrical
connection between the exposed FFC/FPC conductors and the fixture PCB.

This contact method eliminates the need for a conventional mating connector on the
test fixture while providing a reusable interface for repeated testing.

The elastomeric contact element is replaceable, allowing the fixture hardware and
termination PCB to remain in service when the contact interface eventually requires
replacement.

Built for Repeated Testing

Production FFC/FPC connectors are typically designed for use in the finished product,
not repeated access during engineering and test.

A dedicated test fixture provides a more practical interface for applications that
require frequent cable insertion, removal, measurement, troubleshooting, or validation.

This allows engineers and technicians to access the FFC/FPC conductors repeatedly
without relying on the production connector for every test cycle.

Typical Applications

  • Engineering development and prototype testing
  • Functional PCB testing
  • Production test systems
  • Failure analysis and troubleshooting
  • Device validation
  • Repeated FFC/FPC connection during development

Custom Fixture Configurations

FlexibleTest fixtures can be configured around the specific electrical and mechanical
requirements of the application.

For applications using a similar ultra-fine pitch FFC/FPC interface, custom designs
can accommodate differences in cable geometry, contact count, termination requirements,
mounting, and available mechanical space.

Our engineering team can review the FFC/FPC drawing and application requirements
to determine the appropriate contact interface and fixture configuration.
