Stronger FFC Test Fixtures for Industrial Applications
Stronger Fixtures for Demanding Applications

At Flexible Test, we’re continually looking for ways to improve the performance and durability of our test fixtures.
One of our latest improvements is the use of a stronger engineering-grade material for many of our fixture components. While the overall design and operation remain the same, the upgraded material provides a more robust platform for everyday use.
Built for Industrial Applications
Our fixtures are designed for engineering labs, validation testing, and production environments where they may be opened and closed thousands of times throughout their service life.
To better meet the demands of these industrial applications, we’ve transitioned to a stronger engineering-grade polymer with improved toughness and impact resistance. The result is a fixture that’s better equipped to withstand the rigors of daily use while maintaining the precision our customers expect.
Improved Durability
From accidental drops to repeated handling, test fixtures see more abuse than many people realize.
By utilizing a stronger engineering polymer, our fixtures are better equipped to resist cracking, chipping, and general wear, resulting in longer service life and greater reliability.
Greater Impact Resistance

In everyday use, fixtures are bumped, dropped, and handled by multiple operators.
One of the biggest advantages of the new material is its toughness. With a Notched Izod impact strength of 60 J/m, it offers approximately 2-3× the impact resistance of the brittle transparent photopolymer materials often used for prototype parts. This helps reduce cracking and chipping during normal operation.
Designed to Last
The improved material also enhances the durability of features such as hinges, latch mechanisms, and alignment components. These critical areas experience repeated mechanical loading during normal operation, making material strength an important part of long-term performance.
Whether the fixture is used on an engineer’s workbench or in a high-volume production environment, the stronger construction helps ensure consistent performance over years of operation.
Same Precision. Greater Confidence.
While the fixture’s electrical performance and precision remain unchanged, the stronger construction provides added confidence that the fixture will continue performing reliably throughout years of use.
Continuous improvement is an important part of our engineering process. As materials and manufacturing technologies evolve, we evaluate opportunities to enhance our products so our customers receive the most durable and reliable test fixtures possible.
